Bowen Pizza at the Legion on Bowen
Join Bowen Pizza for pizza night at the Bowen Legion on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Events starting October 15 until March 6th 2025.
Tuesdays: bring your kids for fun filled pizza nights 5-7pm
Thursdays: Adult Games nights. 5pm till it dies down. Play vintage battle ship, scrabble, cards, or bring your own.
Legion Nights
First Friday of every month, join the Bowen Island Legion for dinner. Tickets sold in advance, check the facebook link for specifics.

Hearth Gallery
30 years ago by a committed group of locals founded The Bowen Island Arts Council with the plan to create a space for artists to express themselves. All types of artists and creatives have shown their work at the Hearth Gallery, from painters to potters, and many more.

- October 26, 2024 Scaryoke2 : Return of The Naturals at The Pub Get into the spooky season with live Band at The Pub on Bowen
- January 1, 2025 Polar Bear Swim at Bowen Bay Be a part of Bowen Island tradition and join the annual Polar Bear swim. This event has running since 1978, when Frank (Robbie) Robertson, dressed up in a fur coat, bowler hat, and a 1920’s swim suit, officially invited together any “brave bathers” who would join him in this chilly occasion. The event has been a way for locals ands visitors alike to test their metal ever since. Not for the faint of heart!
Winter Hikes
If you’re a fan of skating, just wait until the temperatures drop a bit, grab your skates, and head on up the mountain in search of small ponds that have formed. No guarantees on the safety of this adventure, but winter hikes are peaceful, calm, and free of almost anyone else.
My friend and I decided to hike Mount Collins in February following a snow storm. We looked for Mud Lake, but were pleasantly surprised with the number of other small water holes that had frozen over letting us ‘skate’ on them. Next time, we’re definitely bringing the skates.
After descending the mountain, we were able to hitch hike back to Snug Cove instead of waiting an hour for the bus.

Conclusion
There are plenty of activities to do on Bowen Island during the winter from Games Nights, to Pizza Nights. This doesn’t include all the hikes that are accessible year round.
