Damages
Damage To Parts: Prior to checking out, we place a hold on your credit card as a damage deposit to cover minor to major repairs. Any damaged or lost gear will be charged to the renter at the full, retail price.
Crashes: Crashes happen; and our mechanic needs to evaluate all bikes and batteries after a crash. A charge is levied for each bike crashed regardless of what happened. See Pricing for charges & Maintenance for labor rates.
Liability Waiver
Prior to riding; liability waivers must be signed. Riding without a liability waiver signed is a violation of our rental agreement and your eBikes will be seized. Liability waivers must be signed by the individual participants; and not one person for the entire group. If you have signed a liability waiver in the past; we may require you to sign a new waiver.
eBike Damage Wavier
At the time of booking, choose or not to purchase an Bike Damage Waiver. This will limit your liability in the event of a crash.

Discounts
We have many partner locations with their own discount codes for those staying overnight. Please book online in advance of your visit to use these discount codes. Codes can not be redeemed at the window & must be purchased in advance online.

What if there is a problem with the eBike on the road?
Depending on the situation, we will either provide you with a swapped eBike, repair the eBike on the road, or provide you with transportation to where you need to go on island without charge.
All bikes are rented with a fully charged battery, an optional charging cable if you like, and in working condition. If you run out of battery power, we have a fee for driving out and swapping the battery, subject to availability, or you must find a place to charge your eBike. If you wish to switch out your battery mid ride, you must come to our offices to collect it. Please call ahead, 778-956-7946, to see if we have a charged battery available to swap.
Damage Deposits & Collections
Our intention is that should a crash happen, and you purchased a crash damage waiver, we will not charge you for the damage to the eBike above the deductible.
- Crashes. Parts are replaced at full replacement value at renters expense + safety check fee. Unless Crash Damage Waiver purchased before or at time of booking.
Negligence
- Getting on the ferry. Our business is based on Bowen Island and we’d like to keep all of our eBikes on island.
- Doing tricks, going to the pump track, jumps. You are responsible for repairs even if you purchased a damage waiver in this case.
- Skidding & Locking up the rear wheel. You’re wearing down the tires for the next person! You are responsible for repairs even if you purchased a damage waiver in this case.
- Attempting maintenance. We have hydraulic brakes on our eBikes. Do not attempt to remove the hoses for these hydraulic brakes. You are responsible for repairs even if you purchased a damage waiver in this case.
- Riding on a flat tire. Call us and we will get you a new bike or pick up the broken one, or change the tire for you. You are responsible for repairs even if you purchased a damage waiver in this case.
- Picking at the batteries or labels on the bikes. You are responsible for repairs even if you purchased a damage waiver in this case.
- Theft of the eBike. You are responsible for replacement even if you purchased a damage waiver in this case.
